Grammar Seminars

The seminars are aimed at people who need to revise grammar or acquire new grammatical information and each of them approaches an important English grammar chapter. The presentation is highly contextualised and the seminars consist mostly of practice.

Below are some of the most frequent topics:

Verb Tenses

Modal Verbs

Conditional Clauses

The Plural of Nouns

Infinitive and ING Forms

The Passive Voice

The duration of each seminar is 5 hours, split into two sessions of 2 and a half hours.

IELTS Preparation Seminars

Each seminar is dedicated to one of the four IELTS sub-tests and approaches, discusses, clarifies and practises the most challenging aspects of the particular sub-test.

The Writing Seminar provides sample responses to the two tasks and clarifies the Public Band Descriptors.

The Speaking Seminar discusses and practises ways to approach the possible questions in the test, as well as topics which are less accessible to certain cognitive or life experience levels.

Upon completion of the Writing Seminar, each participant is invited to email two task responses (ideally, one for Task 1 and one for Task 2), on which they receive feedback.

The Reading and Listening Seminars contain tips of how to solve the tasks in the two sub-tests, as well as plenty of practice materials for class work or homework. Participants are invited to email responses to one practice test for each component and receive feedback after the seminar.

The duration of each seminar is of 9 hours, split into three 3-hour sessions during an entire week.

The seminars are not recommended to people who are not familiar with the test, as they do not provide enough  preparation for people with no previous exposure to the IELTS test.
